The purpose of the IAMHE(R) Charitable Trust is to create awareness within the ethnic communities about the unique issues experienced by these groups, and to educate and train people, particularly women, youth, and the less advantaged, about options for approaching and managing these issues.  In particular the Trust will:

  • release educational projects (written, verbal or visual) in order to create public awareness about the current issues in the ethnic communities including, but not limited to, Depression, Suicide prevention, and Domestic violence;
  • set up a yearly grant scheme (IAMHER Grant) of one thousand dollars to provide financial assistance for young girls, of an ethnic background, in their educational development within the areas of dance, sport, art and music, outside of their academic curriculum;
  • to relieve poverty by providing a business mentoring program for the unemployed, in particular new immigrants, to assist them setting up new businesses within the ethnic communities;
  • to promote health and wellbeing of people of ethnic backgrounds, and their families, where issues are identified;
  • to provide resources and expertise to appropriate individuals, collectives and organizations in the education of people of ethnic backgrounds in the areas of issues identified;
  • to provide shelter for orphans and the elderly of ethnic backgrounds catered to their unique needs;
  • to raise funds by any legal means to assist the interests of people in need from ethnic backgrounds;
  • to provide other support and assistance consistent with this charitable purpose.
